You know those couples that are just so in-sync that they’re meant to be? That’s Austin and Shannon.
I met Shannon many years ago when I asked them to model for me, and I’ve gotten closer to Shannon over the years as she’s gained an interest in photography. I’ve spent time shooting with her and she’s helped me with editing and babysitting when I’ve had a lot on my plate. I’m grateful for the connection I have with her and excited to see how happy these two are together!
Austin and Shannon met in their Spanish class at BYU and connected over their similarly fun-loving, goofy personalities. They just have a blast together and I had so much fun with them at this shoot.
We took their formals at Tony Grove up Logan Canyon. If you’re from Northern Utah, it’s near impossible to go any length of time without exploring up Logan Canyon or at the very least seeing tons of photos taken at Tony Grove, a phenomenal place for family pictures, engagement pictures, or a formals session like this one.
These two had a really, really sweet first look. You can tell how excited they were to be together and share this special moment during their bridal session just from the expressions on their faces. I loved how easily Austin and Shannon were able to rock the goofy poses as well as the dreamy, head-over-heels looks during this session.
Tony Grove turned out to be the perfect location for these wildflower-filled formals near Logan, Utah. I have loved shooting Shannon’s senior pictures, mission pictures, and now her wedding, and I am so happy she and Austin found each other.
