an evening at the spiral jetty
I am so excited to share this formal session I took with Hannah and Braeden out at the Spiral Jetty! I recently shared their engagement photos that we took at the Salt Flats. We took another trip to an iconic spot on the Great Salt Lake for their formal photos.
We took the long, bumpy dirt road out to the Spiral Jetty just in time for golden hour. The drive out to Spiral Jetty isn’t the easiest but it is always worth the journey. In my opinion, you really can’t beat the way the sun sets over the water. It’s really a special kind of magic. Hannah and Braeden hadn’t been to the Spiral Jetty before our session, but I’m so glad they requested that location for our formal session!
I have been photographing Hannah’s family for a few years now, and I’m so excited every time I get to work with them. I was the photographer for Hannah’s brothers wedding a while back and have done a few different sessions with them since! Hannah was on an LDS mission when I photographed her brother’s wedding, but we met shortly after she got home when I shot a family session for them. Hannah’s mom tagged along for the formal photos to help out with any hair, dress, or floral needs. She is the sweetest person, and Hannah is definitely a reflection of her upbringing.
These two have endured quite a year with the effects of coronavirus. Their wedding plans changed many times, but I’m so glad we were still able to take these gorgeous photos.
