an engagement session with an old friend
This stunning couple is Austin and Shannon. Shannon is an old friend of mine and it was such an honor to capture her engagement photos. She attends BYU, so we don’t get to see each other much. She and Austin stopped by my house for a little while before our shoot so we could catch up and so that I could meet Austin. They brought Crumbl cookies with them, which earned them big points with my family, haha! My kids are obsessed with anybody who brings treats around.
When I asked what vibe they were looking for from their engagement photos, Shannon said she really wanted an open field with mountain views. As soon as she told me that I knew I had the perfect place to take them. We headed for this spot in Mendon that has gorgeous views of the Wellsville Mountains. Every direction we turned had another stunning vista just begging to be captured. Cache Valley is such a magical place to take photos, in my very biased opinion.
Austin loves his motorcycle and has shared that passion with Shannon during their relationship. I love that the incorporated this new common hobby into their engagement shoot! We captured some really great and romantic photos of them with his motorcycle.
I loved our engagement shoot together! Austin and Shannon are both so goofy and made each other and me laugh throughout our session. Watching them dance and goofing around together made my job as the photographer so fun. I think I was able to capture their personalities well—and just look how obviously obsessed they are with each other! I love when my couples are perfectly suited for each other.
