Say “Hello” to Nicole and Timo! Both are students at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Nicole is studying both finance and MIS, and Timo is going into electrical engineering. As Timo said before our session together, “Like most electrical engineers, I’m not very photogenic, so please help us!” Their engagement session proved that thought to be completely false, by the way. They are completely photogenic, especially because they are so obviously in love!
We had so much fun shooting their engagement photos even though our original plan had to be switched up a bit! Nicole and Timo love the mountains, so Plan A had been to shoot at a mountain location in the snow. Of course, by this time all of the snow had melted or was no longer the fresh white canvas we love. We decided to switch things up from the half-dead looking mountains to Antelope Island instead!
Antelope Island not only has so many gorgeous landscapes to explore, but it’s also one of the only places that looks beautiful in the transition from winter to spring. Another bonus is Syracuse is not too far of a drive from Cache Valley. Our trek down to Antelope Island was painless and I enjoyed capturing the fun relationship Nicole and Timo have together!
Antelope Island turned out to be the perfect photography location because the final gallery had the feeling you get when winter is turning into spring. Slightly chilly air mixed with fresh growth surrounded us and resulted in so many stunning photos of this happy couple! The cool air was also great motivation for many cuddling poses (as if they needed more motivation, ha!).
I loved getting to meet Nicole and Timo, and I am so excited for their new adventures yet to come throughout the rest of their engagement and all through married life!
