Say hello to the Tovey Family!
The Tovey’s have a special place in my heart. A few years ago when we moved into our house in Cache Valley, Utah, Heather and Jay were some of the first friends we made. They are the best neighbors, and people, and not to mention my oldest son is obsessed with Heather. She is so sweet and attentive with kids and everyone loves her! We were so sad when the Tovey’s moved a few months ago.
Their family session was shot in some Mendon, Utah fields. This is one of my favorite fields in Cache Valley because it looks great year round. We took these photos in the fall and I love the beautiful autumn colors and yellow grass.
The Tovey children were not really sure they wanted to do family photos but I told Heather and Jay to just go with it and that I was sure we could make the photos look great. The kiddos were not willing to smile or sit still. So we let them lead the way and set the tone and the photos turned out great! We were able to get so many authentic and fun shots.
These pictures are some of my favorites because they are able to showcase the children’s personality so much better than if we had fought them to sit still and smile nicely for the photos. I especially think the family photo with their little boy running away is darling! If you are ever concerned that your children are going to ruin your photos, just trust the professionals and let your child’s personality soar!
All in all, I loved this session, these people, and the photos we captured! I wish the Tovey’s the best of luck on their new adventure and want them to know we love and miss them.
