I’m so happy to be sharing photos from my session with the beautiful Burnett family! I met Dale and Cambria when I moved into their neighborhood. I actually previously knew who Cambria was because I played basketball with her younger sister in high school. Isn’t it such a small world? I always love finding fun connections with people, but especially with my clients! This was the first time I did family portraits for the Burnett family, but I’ve been able to take photos for them several times since.
We chose to take the Burnett’s family photos at Mendon Hills in Mendon, Utah. I love the rolling hills at this location. Aren’t they just the perfect backdrop? Mendon Hills is actually a little bit difficult to find and somewhat of an adventure to get to. But if my clients are willing to make the drive out there, this stunning location is always worth it. And to top it all off, we were rewarded with the most gorgeous sunset! These ended up being some of my favorite photos that I’ve taken.
If you’ve ever taken any sort of photos with little ones, you know that it requires lots of patience, and can sometimes be a challenge. This was not the case here–– the Burnett kids were nothing short of amazing! After the shoot, Cambria told me that her kids said to her, “Mom! That was so fun!”. The Burnett kids were so great to work with, and I had a lot of fun too. I consider it to be one of the highest compliments when kids have good things to say about our shoots!
When you book a family session with me, I will try my best to capture your family in a real and authentic way. I’m a big fan of natural smiles, candid photos, and spontaneous moments. I’m so happy we were able to get some of those shots for the Burnetts! They were so wonderful to work with and I’m thrilled to call them my friends.
